Orme Brothers was
founded by Ray, Joel, and Verl Orme, in September, 1944 as a Union 76
service station in the quiet little rural town of Northridge, California.
Mostly orange groves and dirt roads, Northridge boasted celebrity homes
and ranches of Walter Brennan, Monte Montana, Barbara Stanwick, Jack
Oakie, and many others in the early days of Hollywood. Actually, the
original Orme Brothers was a brother partnership of sheepherders in
the mountains of Idaho around the turn of the century
but on to
the present. Northridge, the center of the San Fernando Valley with
one and one-half million people would be the sixth largest city in California
if a city in itself.
Two new generations
of family are now involved in the business. Evolving through the automotive
industry for over 50 years, the automotive parts are gone and Orme Brothers,
Inc. is now a full service hose and fitting company. Our evolution thru
the industry gives us a unique understanding of each performance and
industrial plumbing situation. As in all industries today, technology
has shaped our day to day approach to high performance and industrial
applications. At Orme Brothers Inc, management and staff are committed
to the latest technological advances and 'state of the art' products
to insure that our customers receive the best products and technical
assistance available in our industry.
